Had a meeting with Mr. Matlack (Dean of Faculty) to talk about Community Time
Important
Community building– chapel talks !! – something like chapel talks, ted talks??
Very limited free ones
Often asm, class meetings, office hours
Quick changes–
Shorter, more frequent all-school meetings
Hard for office hours (before 2016)-- more accessible hours posted
Fast-paced schedule– we’d be doing work anyway?
Meeting w teacher
Required office hours
Plans for Community Time Task Group:
Meeting biweekly to discuss the effectiveness of community time
Reaching out to peer schools to see how they use their non-school time
No responses yet from this
Too filled up all around; community-building: club meetings are better for building community than class meetings

Students and teachers end up meeting late at night- hard to meet for day students
Teachers have lots of meetings with one another
